View weekly geographic trends in flu vaccination rates among Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries for every state, county, and zip code in the United States. Data are updated weekly starting in September each year. The map shows zip-code level data, but does not show trends over time. Instead the data represent the overall vaccination rates for the current and past flu seasons.
How to Use this Tool:
-
Step 1: Select the flu season, state, country, demographic, and age group of interest.
-
Step 2: View the trends in-depth by zooming in on the map or using the table beneath the map for state, county, and zip code level data. The table displays:
-
Beneficiaries: The total number of beneficiaries per zip code, state, or county.
-
Vaccination Claims Rate: The number of flu vaccine claims relative to the number of beneficiaries.
-
Demographic Disparity: Explore the difference in vaccination rates between white beneficiaries and beneficiaries who are black, Hispanic, or Asian. Note: The graph shows the respective vaccination rates for each selected group while the table displays the difference between the groups.
You can also view flu vaccination claims by week.

Notes:
-
In the Demographic Disparity column in the table, negative values mean the vaccination rate is lower for the minority group than the comparable white group while a positive value means the vaccination rate is higher for the minority group compared to the white group. A value of 0 means the minority group and the white group have identical vaccination rates. Learn more about the data.
